For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean. (Acts 17:20 KJV kingjamesbibleonline.org) Ken Ham, president of Answers in Genesis, spoke of how Apostle Peter had a predominantly Jewish audience (who knew about GOD) in Acts 2. Many were converted. To some Jewish people the Cross of Christ became a stumbling block (see 1 Corinthians 1:23) In Acts 17, Apostle Paul primarily spoke to Greeks (who did not know GOD). Some did not understand the message of the Cross, and considered it foolishness. (see 1 Corinthians 1:23) Mr. Ham expressed how we are living in an Acts 17 culture, and explained how we ought to address those we minister to as such. [There is a statement: That’s Greek to me; as to say strange or unfamiliar.] Some do not believe in GOD, acknowledge that JESUS is GOD, nor accept the truth that the Bible teaches. Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. By GOD’s grace, may we humbly confess and boldly proclaim JESUS. Glory to GOD. Amen.
