Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution . (2 Timothy 3:12) Persecution occurs in various ways. It could be verbal assault or harsh treatment that is faced. A believer may be ostracized from family, passed over for a promotion at work, given a bad grade at school, or even excommunicated from a church (asked to leave or ignored). Every true believer will experience trials due to their faith in JESUS. Some may not like you, or refuse to be around you because of what you stand for … the Gospel… Truth! Just to be clear – – persecution is not punishment for sin. Persecution is the result of walking in the righteousness of GOD through faith in JESUS. Do not think that you have done something wrong (as to cause the persecution to occur). Let us continually present ourselves before The Lord GOD in humble obedience, confessing our sins, forgiving others, and willingly sharing our faith in JESUS with those that will hear. Thank GOD for JESUS. Amen.
